Travel Insurance A Sensible Idea Jetabout offers comprehensive travel insurance in the unlikely event you must cancel your vacation for specifically covered reasons. Prices start from $59 per person and increase proportionate to the total value of your Jetabout vacation purchase. Insurance Information Additional Benefit: By purchasing travel insurance through Jetabout at time of deposit, for an additional $15 per person, you are eligible to purchase the Jetabout Downunder Club Travel Waiver. This unique option allows you to cancel the land portion of your vacation, FOR ANY REASON NOT COVERED BY OUR TRAVEL INSURANCE, up to 72 hours prior to departure from your home city. The Waiver covers the land portion of your vacation only. Cancellation fees pertaining to air travel are covered by insurance, but do not apply to the Waiver. Purchase of the Waiver can potentially save you hundreds of dollars per person in the event you must cancel your vacation. Persons traveling in groups of 10 or more are not eligible to participate in the Waiver, but are covered by individual purchase of travel insurance. Cancellation notice must be received by Jetabout 72 hours in advance in writing (by fax or U.S. Mail), by email or by direct telephone conversation with a Jetabout reservations agent during business hours, Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm Pacific Standard Time. Many vacation products we offer often have quite different penalty periods for cancellation. Should you find it necessary to cancel, our Downunder Club Travel Waiver entitles you to Jetabout travel credits to the value of the land penalty amounts not covered by insurance purchased. If a cancellation not already covered by travel insurance occurs within a penalty period, your cancellation penalty will be refunded in the form of Jetabout Downunder Club Travel Certificates, with any balance of the refund returned in either cash or credit card credit. The Waiver applies solely to land arrangements purchased through Jetabout and does not apply to any arrangements purchased from any other party. Trip interruption is not covered by the Waiver, but is covered by travel insurance. Unused services during a vacation, where the purchaser has elected not to utilize or undertake prepaid arrangements, are not covered by the Waiver. You will receive a certificate of travel credit, valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation, for the full amount of non-covered cancellation fees. To redeem the certificate you are obligated to travel, departing from your home city on or before the expiration date stated on your certificate. The Downunder Club Travel Waiver is nontransferable (no name changes are allowed) and non-refundable. The Waiver is not insurance, and does not cover certain cruises, guided walks, specific resorts and lodges, escorted tours, train journeys, fishing charters and various other adventure or specialty vacation products.
